Overseerr

Overseerr is a tool you can use to add new movies and TV shows to our shared Plex server.

As soon as you login using your Plex credentials, you can start requesting new media.

Understanding the interface

There are a few icons to note that will allow you to know at a glance what the current status of an item is. In the following screenshot, you’ll notice three movies with different sets of icons along the top edge.

  • ✅ The check mark means this item is already available on our Plex server. Do a search in Plex and you’ll find it!

  • With no icon in the corner, the middle item is ready to be requested by you!

  • 🕓 The clock icon means that this item is already requested. Likely this implies that it has not been released yet, but it could also mean that we haven’t been able to find a suitable copy yet.

Requesting new content ⬇️

Requesting movies and series is made easy with Overseerr, simply search for your desired content and hit the ⬇️ request button!

For a series, you can choose to request individual seasons, or the entire show. Individual episodes are not able to be requested.

You can even request items that aren’t released yet. Once it’s available, we will get it automatically, even if it’s years away.

Reporting Issues ⚠️

If while watching a show or movie in Plex you come across a file that has a problem, you can report it to us with Overseerr.

Sometimes a file is unplayable, poor quality, the wrong language, has no sound, or is the wrong episode/movie. Whatever it is, you can open an item in Overseerr and click the ⚠️ warning symbol. This will bring up a simple menu for choosing and describing the issue. Once you submit a report, a new version of the content can be acquired and we can resolve your issue!

Please report any issues you come across as it will help other user’s in the future, and we simply can’t check the quality of every single item ourselves.
